FAQ

Landscaping questions, answered.

Everything homeowners in Sonora and the foothills ask us most.

What areas do you serve?

Sonora, Twain Harte, Jamestown, Columbia, Soulsbyville, Phoenix Lake, Tuolumne, Mi-Wuk Village, Long Barn, Groveland, Chinese Camp, Angels Camp, Murphys, Copperopolis, and Arnold.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — licensed CA #40309, general liability and workers' compensation coverage on file. Certificates of Insurance issued directly to property managers on request.

How fast can I get a quote?

Most quotes go out within four hours during business hours. Text your address or use the online quote form and we usually respond same-day.

Do you offer recurring service?

Weekly and bi-weekly recurring plans are our specialty. Recurring pricing is 15 to 25 percent lower per visit than on-demand.

What's the minimum job?

Recurring visits start at $65. One-time cleanups start at $250. There's no walkaway fee for a small job.

Do I need to be home?

No. Once we know your gate code or entry point, we handle everything and leave a service note or text.

What if it rains on my service day?

We reschedule to the next dry day and text you before we arrive. Recurring clients keep priority slots.

Do you haul off debris?

Yes, always. Haul-off is included in every quote — no separate dump fee.

Can I skip a week?

Yes, text 24 hours ahead. Frequent skips move you off the recurring plan and back to on-demand pricing.

Do you fertilize?

Fertilization and weed-and-feed are add-ons for recurring lawn clients. We time applications with California's climate windows for best results.

Do you handle defensible space?

Yes. CAL FIRE aligned Zone 1 and Zone 2 clearing with photo documentation for insurance carriers. See our brush removal page.

Do you do irrigation repair?

Minor repair (heads, low-pressure zones) yes. Larger install and controller replacement is a partner referral.

Do you install plants or design landscapes?

We focus on maintenance, cleanups, and property care. Full design and install is a partner referral.

How do you handle trees over 20 ft?

Anything above 20 ft or near power lines goes to our licensed arborist partner. We coordinate the whole job.

Do you offer HOA and commercial contracts?

Yes. Twelve-month standard, COI on file, dedicated crew lead, monthly reporting.

How do you accept payment?

Card, ACH, check, or cash. Recurring clients auto-charge on the same day each month.

What's your guarantee?

If something on the visit isn't right, we return within 48 hours at no charge until it is.

Do you send service photos?

Yes — most weekly clients get a service photo emailed after each visit.

How long have you been in business?

YardSharks is a locally owned Sonora company operated by Jayden and Jesse, with years of hands-on Tuolumne County work.

Can you help me pass a fire insurance inspection?

Yes. Our brush removal scope aligns with CAL FIRE guidance and we provide before-and-after photos plus a scope document you can hand your carrier.
